A Big Leap

I have always been one to play it safe. Maybe too safe, I’ve come to realize. After some thrilling smaller ventures away from my familiar life, I’m ready to take a big leap. Follow along on my volunteer journey to India.

See, I really am living in the Himalayas!

How cute are they?)  namita1.jpgrahul1.jpg shinam1.jpg shweta1.jpg kidsoutside.jpg  They’re so insanely adorable!  And pretty well-behaved too. Not too much else to report – we walked up to McLeod Ganj, or Upper Dharamsala, home of the Dalai Lama today.  The hike was complete insanity – nearly straight uphill for almost an hour!  I think I’ll either take the road or a taxi next time I go up there.  But it was really amazing, I want to buy every single thing in the shops there, and eat Thai and Tibetan food, and take cooking and yoga classes! It was really fun and maybe almost worth the hike. 😉
